Spicy Sweet Baked Potato Fries

Using a special blend of spices, these spicy baked sweet potato fries are the perfect recipe to make your taste buds do a happy dance!

For the Spicy Sweet Potatoes

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes, about 3 large
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

For the Garlic Aioli

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dill

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.
  2. Cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch wedges and set aside.
  3. Mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, chili powder and cayenne in a large bowl.
  4. Add the sweet potatoes to the bowl and toss to coat.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and toss again.
  6. Place the wedges to a wire rack that’s on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake until the edges start to brown and crisp — which is about 25 minutes.
  8. Serve warm with garlic aioli sauce.

For the Aioli

  1. Mixall ingredients.
  2. Place in the fridge one hour before serving.
