- 2¾ c. all purpose flour
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. butter or margarine, very soft
- 1¾ c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 4 c. alphabet gummies
- 1 tub white frosting (or your fave homemade version)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375˚F.
- Line several cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients — 1/4 cup at a time.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
- Bake 8 minutes for super-soft cookies or 10 minutes for crispier cookie.
- Let cookies cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire rack or plates for cooling.
- Frost with your favorite frosting.
- Add gummies to top of cookies for decoration.
