Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp maple flavoring
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almonds, pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • additional powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degress Fahrenheit.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  3. When soft and creamy, add egg and maple extract.
  4. Combine flour and salt in a separate bowl and stir.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix for one minute.
  6. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Roll into small balls and place on un-greased or parchment-lined baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly and roll in additional confectioner’s sugar twice.
