- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp maple flavoring
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup almonds, pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- additional powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degress Fahrenheit.
- Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
- When soft and creamy, add egg and maple extract.
- Combine flour and salt in a separate bowl and stir.
- Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix for one minute.
- Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Roll into small balls and place on un-greased or parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool slightly and roll in additional confectioner’s sugar twice.
